Begin your odyssey in Casablanca, Morocco’s cosmopolitan heart. Visit the awe-inspiring Hassan II Mosque, its minaret towering over the Atlantic coast. Stroll along the Corniche, savoring your first taste of Moroccan mint tea, and unwind at a boutique hotel with a welcome dinner of tagine and local wines.
Journey to Rabat, where history meets modernity. Explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of the Udayas, a blue-and-white fortress with panoramic ocean views. Admire the grandeur of the Hassan Tower and the ornate Royal Palace, then wander the Andalusian Gardens before retiring to a riad nestled in the medina.
Step into antiquity at Volubilis, a Roman archaeological site adorned with mosaics and archways. Continue to Meknes, the “Versailles of Morocco,” to marvel at Bab Mansour Gate and the opulent Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Arrive in Fes by evening, where the scent of spices lingers in the air.
After breakfast, you will start our guided exploration of the Fes medina, one of the largest walled cities in the world. You will wander through the tight alleys adorned with fresh produce, heaps of spices, finely crafted Berber rugs, and numerous other artistic items from Morocco. A trip to the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and the potters are merely some of the sights we will enjoy. For lunch, you will eat at a traditional restaurant located in the center of the medina. Following lunch, you will finish the tour and head back to your hotel for the evening.
Traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains, pausing in Ifrane (Morocco’s “Little Switzerland”) and cedar forests where Barbary macaques roam. Arrive in Marrakech by afternoon, and as dusk falls, immerse yourself in the electric energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, alive with storytellers, musicians, and sizzling street food.
Uncover Marrakech’s gems: the intricate Bahia Palace, the golden Saadian Tombs, and the lush Majorelle Garden. Enjoy free time to haggle in souks for ceramics and spices or relax at a palm-shaded café. Celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner under the stars at a luxurious riad.
